This event was a massive smash in 2024 so we are back for more fun in 2025.   Unlike the Knavesmire Edge route, this route is all on paths but like Knavesmire Edge, it completely avoids the Service Track.

Each 3.65 loop starts and finishes at the Race HQ at Bustardthorpe Change Rooms (at the back of the Racecourse).  Free parking is available on Racecourse Road.  The changing rooms have toilets and showers and can accessed at the end of each completed loop.

The route stays on the paths from Bustardthorpe and does a loop around York College, before coming back up to the start/finish.  There is a short section where runners use the same path in different directions, so a great event for making new friends or not feeling you are on your own.

This year's event will have a new bespoke memento as well as all the usual chocolate and cake that you would expect from a SYRY event

It's a 6 hour running challenge and you can run as few or as many laps as you wish within the 6 hour limit. All runners, no matter how many laps they have run, will receive a goody bag and memento. 
 

For those wishing to run half marathon or full marathon distance the additional mileage after 3 laps (half) and 7 laps (full) will be marked with a cone of doom.          

Like our other events it is cupless.  Please bring your own bottle or cup and we will happily fill and refill this for you with squash, water or coke on the day.  We will have a well stocked aid station at the start/finish of each loop.

Registration and bib collection will be on the morning of the race.
