Our popular marathon day 6 hour challenge returns in 2026. What else would you prefer to do on 26/2 than enjoy a run?     

Starting and finishing at Hamilton Panther's Clubhouse we will have a 10k loop that will take you out to Bishopthorpe and along the planets path to Naburn.  Following some challenging last minute weather conditions last year, we will be defaulting to a non-trail version of the loop and adding in the trail section on the day if we can guarantee it won't be muddy and slippy. This definitely won't be a mud-fest!        

There will be refreshments, cake and food at the clubhouse.  As well as a well stocked aid station, toilets and showers.

This run was created as a social run for friends to meet up and enjoy running, walking, chatting together. At the end of each 10k lap, you can decide whether you want to head out for another- and another!  Running a marathon is not compulsory.        

There will be no cut-off times as such, but we would ask people to start their final lap before 3pm so that the club house will still be open when you finish.  The event will be officially timed, results will be published and for those working towards 100 marathons, the marathon will count. Miles will also count towards the SYRY 100 mile club.

Everyone taking part will receive a special memento.
